1st Solution Internet Bonded Broadband
1st solution Internet have now invested in a new broadband infrastructure and are now able to offer bonded broadband solutions.
What is Bonded Broadband
A bonded broadband solution allows multiple DSL connections, either ADSL or SDSL to be physically bonded together creating a faster single connection to the Internet and maximising the potential for download and upload speeds.
Bonded broadband is the ability to combine 2 or more Internet connections and utilise them as a single connection to gain the benefit of increased bandwidth speed for both Internet downloads and uploads.
Why Bonded Broadband
Bonded Broadband is for those organisations that require high levels of bandwidth capacity or where distance restraints on DSL connections mean only slow speed can be achieved.
Bonded broadband is ideal for multi site VPN connectivity or for running thin client applications where single DSL connection cannot provide sufficient upload speed.
A Bonded Broadband solution is also a more cost effective alternative to expensive leased lines and yet is able to offer just as much bandwidth.
Bonded broadband offers a degree of fault tolerance if one of the links goes out the connection will continue to work all be it at a slower speed until the failed DSL connection comes back online.
How does Bonding Work

1st solution Internet have spent several years evaluating many technologies and working with manufactures to come up with the ideal Bonding solution.
There are several ways of Bonding such as Multi-Link PPP (MLPPP) and Border Gateway Protocol (GBP) both of these are complex to setup and bring there own problems.
1st Solution Internet creates virtual tunnels using an enterprise carrier grade bonding device in our core network to create multipath IP network links to the remotely managed end user bonding appliance. The Internet connection appears to the end user as a single connection and is completely transparent to any firewall or network device. This is not a load balanced solution this is a Bonded solution.
